Monster Sound and Picture was birthed from the collective consciousness of a team of mixers, sound designers, composers, VFX artists and editors that were sick of stale stock libraries and siloed creative departments. The team at Monster all relied on each other over the years for support on projects. Finally, someone had the smart idea to bring us all together, in one building, with one phone number and one goal - deliver our clients a Monster product, period.
Based in Las Vegas, we support clients around the globe. Our work spans across dozens of brands, film and television studios, creative agencies and game developers. Our work has garnered multiple EMMY awards and a Grammy win.
DARREN TRENTACOSTE, CEO & CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Darren Trentacoste co-founded Monster Sound and Picture in 2020 and serves as its Chief Executive Officer and Creative Director. He is an entertainment executive, live event producer and music composer. He joined The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas as part of the resort’s opening team and served as Senior Director of Entertainment Productions from 2011 to 2020, spending nearly a decade leading resort-wide entertainment operations, programming and production.
He came up through MGM Resorts International. At Aria Resort and Casino he was Technical Services Manager from 2009 to 2011, serving as Technical Director for major resort events and televised productions. Before that he ran venue event operations and technical direction at MGM Grand Detroit from 2007 to 2009. Earlier still, he founded and ran Midwest Studios, Inc. from 2000 to 2007, a commercial entertainment and production company services major recording artists.
That history is why Monster is more than a post house. We produces live events, buy and book talent on the client side, then run producer-side deal negotiation and show advancing. We also collaborates on the development of entertainment programming for Fortune 500 brands. Company work spans Intel, Amazon, Netflix, Ford Motor Company, Warner Bros. and the National Hockey League and more.
Darren is also a working composer with 30 years as a professional musician, signed to Position Music. His credits include Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Final Fantasy and Destiny 2: Revenant, plus music for Victoria’s Secret, UFC, ABC, NBC and CBS.
